Fort Collins, Colorado
$1,860,000; The Council Tree Library is an interior architecture and tenant finish project for a new southeast branch library, located primarily on the upper floor of one of the "Main Street" buildings in the Front Range Village mixed-use development. The 17,400 sq. ft. branch library features designated areas for children, teen and adult fiction and non-fiction collections, interactive learning areas, media and computer areas, group study rooms, children's story room, staff work areas and a community meeting room.
The design intent for the library was to create a highly creative and engaging space, enlivened through the use of materials, finishes, color, lighting and interesting sculptural design elements.
alm2s (Architect of Record) worked in association with Studiotrope on this project, providing programming and full architectural and engineering services.
