Indoor Practice Facility
Colorado State University
Fort Collins, Colorado
$10,669,000; The on-campus Indoor Practice Facility is designed to enhance CSU's athletic amenities through the addition of a 66,300 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility that features a 60-yard (plus end zone) football practice field, a 4-lane, 60-meter synthetic sprint track, and a practice gymnasium containing a regulation size basketball court with three overlapping volleyball courts. The football and basketball spaces are separated by a lobby, training room and athletic equipment storage, plus mezzanine level video filming platforms. Synthetic turf, track and basketball court materials were selected to match the materials used in CSU's game-day facilities.
The iconic 65' high, asymmetrical bow roof form allows for field goal kicking, while creating a dominant architectural image for the structure.
alm2s teamed with RATIO Architects Inc. for the initial programming and design of the facility. alm2s was the Architect of Record, and provided full architectural and engineering services.
