The Grounds (Outdoor Services) and Recycling Facility is a new centralized processing facility for the trash collection and recycling operations of the Facilities Management Department on the CU main campus. The 19,420 sq. ft. building encloses 6,800 sq. ft. of processing space for recycled materials, 4,100 sq. ft. of grounds maintenance equipment storage, 4,300 sq. ft of administrative office space, and common conference rooms, locker rooms/restrooms and other service functions.
The building design is articulated by areas of glazed storefront within the precast concrete massing, connecting a central circulation spline that runs through the building.
