At the new central commons, a portion of the existing low roof was being raised to create a butterfly wing-shaped sloping roof with high clerestory windows on both sides.

The new fan-shaped sanctuary with a gradually sloping floor provides for 600+ seats on the main level and another 300+ in the wrap around balcony. Two large exposed steel girder trusses create a dramatic roof plane visible from the interior, with clerestory windows on all sides to evenly fill the space with sunlight.

Other interior spaces include a large children’s wing with twelve classrooms wrapping around a large central gathering space, a 4,800 sq. ft. young adult gathering space known as “The Box”, a large warming kitchen and a north lounge facing out to the Cattail Chorus Natural Area.
