The Sunshine House, located at the corner of Lake and Shields Streets, is a new daycare facility owned by CSURF for the prioritized use of CSU faculty and staff.  The facility is licensed for 188 children and 21 staff members, with 10 classrooms ranging from infants to school-aged kids.  The classrooms for toddlers and older children each have age-specific restroom designs and other built-in features for food prep and storage.  Each classroom offers direct access to age-appropriate playgrounds surrounding the building on three sides.

The building’s design is complementary to the neighboring single-family residences, multi-family apartments and small office buildings.
